If a Newfoundland road trip isn't on your bucket l If a Newfoundland road trip isn't on your bucket list yet, it should be. 🇨🇦🥹

As much as I loved St. John's, some of my favourite moments happened outside the city. Newfoundland is full of beautiful little towns, rugged coastlines, and wild places that make you want to pull over every five minutes.

⛺️Camping here was such a cool experience. We woke up to ocean views, wildlife, and some of the most scenic campsites we've ever had, often with hardly anyone else around.

📍Bonavista, Twillingate, and Gros Morne were some of my favourite spots, but the crazy thing is we only explored about 20% of the province. There is still so much left to see, and I already can't wait to come back.

🚐We rented a camper van through @gotmedrove and honestly, it was one of the best decisions we made. Having the freedom to explore at our own pace made the trip even more memorable, and I can't think of a better way to experience the island.

🌿 One thing I hope never changes about Newfoundland is how wild it feels. If you visit, please leave no trace and respect the places and communities that make it so special. The more we take care of these places, the better chance future travellers will get to experience the same magic we did. 🫶

📍Elliston Puffin Viewing Site, Newfoundland.

Thousands of Atlantic puffins return to Newfoundland every spring to nest along the rocky coastlin. These clips were filmed at sunrise at the puffin viewing site near Elliston, known for being one of the closest places in North America where you can see puffins from land. No boats, no tours…just a short walk and suddenly you’re surrounded by them!

Fascinating fact: puffins mate for life and usually return to the exact same nesting burrow every year. They’re a monogamous species with biparental care, meaning both parents share the responsibility of incubating and raising their single chick each season 🫶
