If you’re planning a visit to the tulip fields, set aside a few hours so you can explore at a relaxed pace. Between the endless rows of blooms, photo spots, and food trucks, it’s one of those places you’ll want to take your time with.

Know before you go:

👥 It’s a popular spring spot, expect crowds, especially on weekends

🌅 Sunrise is your best bet for a quieter, more peaceful experience

🧥Bring layers if you are staying for sunset. It cools down quickly once the sun dips behind the mountains (around 7:30pm)

🚗 Heading there after work? Keep in mind traffic can get heavy in the afternoon/evening.
I spent quite a while just getting across Vancouver and almost didn’t make it to the fields in time 🫠

📸 For those dreamy “surrounded by flowers” shots, stick to the paths and shoot at a slight angle, it makes the rows look endless

🌷 Respect the signage and stay within designated areas to help keep the fields looking their best

These were the conditions this weekend at @lakelandflowers The fields are looking absolutely stunning, and the sunset light was unreal.

If you’re planning to visit, give yourself a few hours to fully enjoy it without rushing. There are plenty of beautiful spots for photos, and grabbing something from the food trucks makes the experience even better.

A couple of tips:

👥 Expect crowds, it’s a popular spot this time of year

🌄 For a quieter experience, sunrise is your best bet

🥶 If you’re going for sunset, bring extra layers, it gets cold quickly once the sun dips behind the mountains (around 7:30pm)

Please be mindful of the signage and follow the designated paths when walking through the fields. Respect the ropes and staff directions.

Brought my nephew Stokes along, and the way he looked at me while I was taking photos without him… I had no choice but to let him jump in. Anyone who says dogs don’t have personalities is seriously mistaken. 🐾
