Hey there! I’m Sonia and I am the storyteller behind wandering with dirty feet. I am a freelance photographer and content creator with an unwavering love for the outdoors and traveling around the world.
I was born and raised in Spain where I lived until my life took an unexpected turn. In 2016 I decided to drop everything and leave behind my hard-earned law career.
I didn’t know what I wanted to be at that point, I only knew that I didn’t want to live what is known as a conventional life.
Following my passion for snowboarding and mountains, I moved to Canada in hopes that I would find myself. I believe I did.
My love for photography and storytelling dates back to ages ago. I was always that friend who would snap countless photos on every trip. This fascination for photography quickly grew during my first years living in British Columbia until it finally blossomed during a life-changing trip to Australia in 2018.
I started taking photography more seriously, self-educating myself through online resources, and taking every opportunity I had to use my camera.
Fast forward to today, I have been able to turn my passion into my dream job, collaborating with various outdoor and adventure brands and exclusive stays to bring their creative visions to life for marketing campaigns and promoting them on my social media platforms.
My love for the outdoors, the thrill of snowboarding, and dedication took me where I am today and I can happily say that I live that unconventional life in the mountains I was looking for.
Everyone’s story is different, and my hope is that mine inspires you to follow your own dreams, no matter how unconventional they may seem!
